Summary:

The primary objective is to determine the safety and tolerability of Gentiana lutea radix, Zingiber officinalis, and Curcuma longa administered to cancer patients with anorexia.

Trial Description

The exploratory objectives are:

  • To determine whether the administration of Gentiana lutea radix (Tincture or powder), Zingiber officinalis, and Curcuma longa has an effect on anorexia, as determined by a visual analogue scale and the Function Assessment of Anorexia/Cachexia Therapy Scale (FAACT) at baseline and weekly thereafter.
  • To determine the compliance rates of the intervention regimens.
